Forum Thread: Willow PCB Repair

Bought this game about a year ago but only got it recently, mainly got it because I had never heard it existed until I saw the auction, its a bit like Black Dragon, a fantasy hack n slash with bouts of shopping for upgrades. Sold as "mostly working", but the 1P start button didn't work, seller was rather vague about it too "might be the cab wiring etc etc".

Anyway - got the board, powered it up, looked good, coined it up and hit start - nothing, 2P start worked and the game ran normally but 1P start did nowt.

Flipped it over to look for track damage and straight away found a fewof pins bent together in the control line section of the board.

Straightened these out with a small screwdriver and the 1P button now works.

Goes to show, not all board repairs are long and involved!
